Middlesbrough and their Championship rivals Southampton are reportedly interested in a summer transfer for Hibernian's Josh Mulligan, with recently relegated West Ham United also said to be interested. Middlesbrough are interested in him as they seek potential replacements for their midfield players and are resigned to losing Hayden Hackney. Mulligan joined Hibernian on a free transfer in July 2025, has a contract until May 2029, and a reported offer of £1.9 million from Schalke was rejected in January 2026.
