Southampton defender Joachim Kayi Sanda, who has French and DR Congo citizenship, will reportedly return to the French second division side Red Star on loan. The deal for the 19-year-old includes an option to buy at the end of the season. This would be Kayi Sanda's second period with the club, as he was on loan there for the first half of last season, making eight appearances in all competitions. The defender initially joined Southampton from sister club Valenciennes in January 2025. His contract with Southampton is valid until June 30, 2029, and he has received six caps for the France U19 team. According to Transfermarkt, the player's current value is €1.20m.
