Girona is finalizing the departure of 21-year-old Colombian central midfielder Jhon Solís, a move that will free up a non-EU spot needed for the registration of Claudio Echeverri. According to Mundo Deportivo, although Solís had offers from Italy and the Spanish Segunda División, his future is likely in Brazil. São Paulo and Bahía are mentioned as two concrete options among the possible destinations. Bahía is part of the City Football Group, which is said to facilitate conversations. It is not yet known if the deal will be a loan or a transfer. Girona aims to recover nearly the full investment made in Solís, which was between four and 4.5 million euros. The club expects the player to travel between Wednesday and Thursday to finalize his new destination. Solís joined Girona in September 2023, has a contract until 2028, and has made 12 appearances in LaLiga this season. According to Transfermarkt, he has a current market value of €2.5 million. He has also been linked with Italian clubs Sassuolo and Torino.
