São Paulo submitted a formal loan offer for Bahia's 30-year-old Brazilian-German midfielder Cauly, which included an option to buy. According to ESPN, Bahia officially rejected the proposal on Monday, the 19th, responding that they are only interested in a permanent sale. This stance is currently preventing the negotiations from progressing. ESPN also reported that Bahia had internally considered a player swap, but the idea did not advance because São Paulo had few players available for that type of deal. Cauly joined Bahia in February 2023 and has a contract with the club until the end of 2028.
