Young Boys and Brighton & Hove Albion have reached a basic agreement for the transfer of 23-year-old Algerian left-back Jaouen Hadjam. While the transfer fee is not yet known, the final details of the deal are reportedly being settled. Hadjam, who is under contract with the Bern-based club until 2028, has been considered a transfer candidate for some time. A potential move at the beginning of the year was halted by an injury sustained at the Africa Cup. FC Porto was also recently reported to have shown interest in the player. The Algerian international, who has 21 caps and 3 goals for his country, joined the Swiss club from FC Nantes in January 2024 for a reported fee of €1.3 million. According to Transfermarkt, he has a current market value of €7 million. In addition to Porto, Hull City has also been recently linked with the player.
