Issouf Sissokho Transfer from Maccabi Tel Aviv to Leeds United

Issouf Sissokho is wanted by Leeds, but according to Pete O’Rourke, via Football Insider, they will not be able to sign him without making at least a couple of sales. O’Rourke stated that Leeds had almost reached their limit on their PSR and FFP in the summer window, when they spent a significant amount on a number of players. He added that it might mean players would need to be transferred if Leeds are to bring in any new signings. The report also notes that Sissokho has 18 months remaining on his contract at Maccabi and that the Mali international would be very interested in the opportunity to move to the Premier League. Leeds are said to be monitoring him.

Due to a slow start to their Premier League campaign, Leeds United are looking for reinforcements in the January transfer window. Manager Daniel Farke seeks to add fresh energy to his midfield. The club has identified 23-year-old Malian midfielder Issouf Sissokho of Maccabi Tel Aviv as a potential signing. According to Africa Foot, Leeds is close to a verbal agreement. It is reported that Leeds has reached a verbal agreement in principle with Maccabi Tel Aviv and is expected to submit a formal offer in the coming weeks for the player. Sissokho is said to have shown enough quality to merit the club's interest. He joined Maccabi Tel Aviv in August 2024, has a contract with the club until 2027, and has been capped once by the Malian national team. Transfermarkt estimates his market value to be €1.20m.
