Brentford is tracking Sporting Lisbona's 22-year-old Italian midfielder Issa Doumbia, with Newcastle and Juventus also following the player. Roma also continues to monitor the midfielder, who joined Sporting in the summer from Venezia for a fee of €20 million plus €3 million in bonuses. Sporting Lisbona does not intend to sell him easily and has inserted an €80 million release clause into his contract, which complicates any potential transfer in the short term. His contract with the Portuguese club runs until June 2031, and he has four caps for Italy. Doumbia's current market value is €20.00m, according to Transfermarkt.
