Newcastle United and Manchester United are among four clubs pursuing Benfica's 18-year-old Portuguese right-back Daniel Banjaqui, and have already sought information about a possible agreement. Barcelona and Inter are also reportedly interested in the player. Inter observed him in the Youth League last season. Benfica is understood to be ready to begin negotiations for a fee between €35 million and €40 million, although no final valuation has been established. The club's belief in his potential could lead them to demand over €50 million in the future. Banjaqui's contract, which was renewed in April, runs until 2031 and contains an €80 million release clause. He has 5 caps and 2 goals for Portugal's U21 team. According to Transfermarkt, his market value is currently estimated at €10 million.
