Russian side Krylia Sovetov are preparing a bid for Hearts winger Islam Chesnokov, who is described as unsettled. According to reports in Russia, an offer of £200,000 will be made. Krylia Sovetov finished 11th in the Russian Premier League, and a move to the club could be a lucrative one for Islam Chesnokov.

Kazakhstani winger Islam Chesnokov, 26, has been heavily linked with a return to former club FC Tobol. Kazakhstan's all-time leading appearance maker Samat Smakov has urged Islam Chesnokov to remain in the capital. Smakov stated that if Islam returns to Kazakhstan, it would be a massive step backwards for him. Smakov also stated that he thinks if he returns to Tobol, he will never go anywhere else again, and questioned why he would leave if he is not transfer listed by the club. The winger joined Heart of Midlothian FC in January 2026 and his contract runs until June 2028. He has 22 caps and two goals for Kazakhstan and has a current market value of €1.20m, according to Transfermarkt.
