Illan Meslier is expected to depart Leeds United this summer, and Wrexham is a potential destination. The 26-year-old French goalkeeper joined Leeds in July 2020 and has been capped 13 times by France at the U21 level. He is out of contract. He finished the season without making a single senior appearance, was included in a matchday squad on only five occasions in all competitions, and played twice for the club's Under-21 side in February. Meslier previously started 39 of Leeds’ 46 Championship matches during their 2024–25 title-winning campaign. Birmingham City has also been linked with a move for the goalkeeper. According to reports in August 2025, there was an asking price of approximately £5m. More recent reports from February 2026 suggested Leeds would accept a 'nominal fee'. His current market value, according to Transfermarkt, is €10.00m.
