According to Ryan Taylor of Football London, clubs in England and abroad, including Aston Villa, will compete with Arsenal for Poland U18 star Igor Tyjon.

Aston Villa are reportedly interested in signing 17-year-old Blackburn Rovers youth striker Igor Tyjon, who holds English and Polish nationalities and whose contract is set to expire in the summer. The club faces competition from Arsenal. According to Simon Collings, Arsenal had multiple seven-figure bids for Tyjon rejected last summer. The forward has turned down a professional contract with Blackburn. RoversXtra reported that no formal offers were made in January because the club's valuation was higher than what interested parties were prepared to pay. A deal is still considered possible in the summer, when Tyjon could be available for little more than a training compensation fee. The centre-forward has been capped five times by England's U18 team and has scored three goals.
