Aston Villa are reported to be among several clubs interested in Barcelona's 19-year-old Spanish left-back, Xavi Espart, while Borussia Dortmund and Juventus have also been named as interested parties. Arsenal and Tottenham have compiled detailed scouting reports on the player, and according to Caught Offside, both clubs are monitoring him. Barcelona do not plan to sell Espart for a low fee, as he recently signed a new contract until 2030 that contains a €100 million release clause. It is suggested, however, that an offer of €50 million could be sufficient to complete a deal. Espart has two caps for the Spain U21 team and his current market value on Transfermarkt is €25.00m.
