Atalanta have agreed to loan 18-year-old Italian centre-back Honest Ahanor to Crystal Palace, and a pre-agreement is also in place for the player to join Chelsea in the summer of 2027 for a £40m fee. Ahanor, who has been capped twice by Italy, joined Atalanta from Genoa in July 2025 for a fee reported to be €16m. It was also reported that earlier in the summer, Brighton had a bid of around €40m rejected in June 2026.
