BILD reports that in the past few days, a possible sale of Hiroki Ito was an internal topic at FC Bayern. Sportvorstand Max Eberl publicly indicated a possible departure for Hiroki Ito at the end of July, stating that if there were any thought of a transfer with Hiroki because he himself noticed that it was getting difficult, then they would deal with it. Eberl further explained that the club now has Nene Brown for the left-back position and Alphonso Davies as a strong competitor. Regarding the central defense, Eberl said that they have three outstanding players in central defense with Kim, Tah and Upamecano. However, Sportdirektor Christoph Freund stated at a press conference on the last day of the German transfer window that it was never their main intention to let Ito go, and that he is an important player. Freund also said that if something extraordinary had come and Hiroki had said he could imagine it, then they would have dealt with it, but otherwise, it was not a significant topic.

A transfer for Hiroki Ito to Ajax Amsterdam will not happen, as announced by sporting director Christoph Freund at a press conference before the DFB-Pokal match in Osnabrück. According to 'tz', Ito, who was a sale candidate at Bayern Munich for weeks, had been offered to Ajax. At the end of July, Max Eberl had publicly indicated that a departure for Ito was possible, stating that if the player had thoughts about leaving because he felt it would be difficult, then the club would deal with it.

According to Sky Sport, a move to Ajax for Hiroki Ito is not expected to happen unless something special occurs. Florian Plettenberg wrote on behalf of Sky Sport that Ito is not expected to join the club.

Christoph Freund has stated that there is nothing urgent regarding Hiroki Ito, after the Japanese central defender was suggested as a potential player for Ajax Amsterdam by his agents. Freund added that they plan for Hiroki to stay with them.
