Manchester United are considering a £30m deal for Middlesbrough midfielder Hayden Hackney, who could be reunited with former Boro boss Michael Carrick, while it is reported that Tottenham Hotspur and Everton are also interested.

The Sun reported that several Premier League clubs, including Everton, showed interest in the 23-year-old English midfielder Hayden Hackney over the summer. Hackney attracted multiple suitors during this period, with clubs like Everton being linked to a potential transfer. However, Middlesbrough accepted a record £20 million bid from Ipswich Town for Hackney, marking it as the highest transfer fee ever paid by a Championship club. Despite this development, Hackney's future remains uncertain as he is expected to engage in talks with Ipswich regarding personal terms, while also considering other possibilities, including interest from Everton, Crystal Palace, and West Ham. It is said that Ipswich is offering Hackney a substantial salary increase, but no other formal offers have been made up to now, although Porto had expressed interest in January with a bid that was ultimately turned down. Hackney's contract with Middlesbrough is valid until June 2027, and Transfermarkt estimates his current market value to be €12.00m.
