Gilberto Batista is a 22-year-old Guinea-Bissauan international centre-back who plays for Moreirense. The Black Knight Football Group could favour a deal for him with either AFC Bournemouth or Lorient, two clubs they own. Moreirense value Batista at around £2.6m and are reportedly keen to extend his contract beyond its current 2027 expiration. Rangers are also said to be monitoring Batista for a potential summer move, but a final decision on his future has not yet been made. The defender has two caps for Guinea-Bissau, joined Moreirense in July 2023, and has a current Transfermarkt market value of €1.00m.
