United and Bayern Munich are reportedly interested in signing Gavi amid speculation that he could be replaced in the Barcelona starting lineup by Rodri. Fabrizio Romano stated that Gavi intends to stay at Barcelona and described the rumours of a move as absolutely fake news and absolutely impossible.

According to Bild, former Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic began discussions in 2022 with agent Ivan de la Peña to try to recruit Gavi from Barcelona.

Bayern Munich have contacted the agent of Barcelona midfielder Gavi, who faces an uncertain future at the club after his serious injury saw him fall down the pecking order.
