Lazio and Torino are working on a swap deal for 25-year-old Uruguayan goalkeeper Franco Israel to move to Lazio and Christos Mandas to join Torino. Discussions between the clubs are ongoing, and the future direction of the negotiations is expected to be clarified in the near future. This potential transfer follows a time when Marco Baroni questioned Israel's position at his club after an injury. At Lazio, Christos Mandas was not favored by Maurizio Sarri. Israel has two caps for Uruguay, joined Torino in July 2025, and has made nine appearances in Serie A this season. His contract is valid until 2028. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €3.80m.
