According to BILD, Galatasaray Istanbul inquired about Fisnik Asllani and wanted to transfer him to Turkey, but Fisnik Asllani declined the offer. The Kosovo national player does not currently consider a move to Istanbul to be the next step in his career. As of now, he will therefore begin the new season with TSG Hoffenheim.

After failing to sign their primary target Demirovic, Galatasaray is now interested in Hoffenheim's Fisnik Asllani and has initiated contact. The Bundesliga club has set an initial asking price of 30 million euros, but Galatasaray's goal is to arrange a loan with a mandatory purchase option. Due to a previously cancelled transfer to Leipzig because of a medical issue, Galatasaray's management is having the player's detailed medical reports examined.
