Bayern Munich is monitoring Al Qadisiyah's Belgian goalkeeper Koen Casteels, 34, as a potential successor for Manuel Neuer. It is reported that the Bavarian club is preparing for various future goalkeeping scenarios while it continues to negotiate possible contract renewals with Neuer and Ulrich. The list of candidates also includes Rui Silva of Sporting, Fulham's Bernd Leno, and Marvin Schwabe from Colónia. Casteels has 20 caps for Belgium and joined his current club in July 2024 on a contract that expires in 2027. He has a current Transfermarkt market value of €3.50m and has made 5 appearances in the Saudi Pro League this season.
