After failing to sign their primary target Demirovic from Stuttgart, Galatasaray is now interested in another player in the German market, TSG Hoffenheim's Fisnik Asllani. The 24-year-old Kosovar player is a significant target, and contact has been initiated. Asllani was previously near an agreement with Leipzig, but the transfer did not happen; it was cancelled because of a problem discovered during his medical checks. Consequently, Galatasaray's management is having the player's detailed medical reports carefully examined.
Head coach Okan Buruk greatly admires Asllani and plans to use him in a two-striker system in some matches, not only as a backup. The Bundesliga club has set an initial asking price of 30 million euros, but Galatasaray's primary goal is to arrange a loan deal that includes a mandatory purchase option. Asllani, a centre-forward, joined Hoffenheim in January 2022 and has a contract until June 2029. He has 16 caps and 4 goals for Kosovo. His current Transfermarkt market value is €35.00m.
