Facundo González Transfer from Juventus to Racing Santander
Facundo Gonzalez is set to play the 2025/2026 season in Spain as it has been confirmed that the Uruguayan defender has been loaned to Racing Santander. This loan to the second division Spanish club marks Gonzalez's third loan experience, following his time with Sampdoria in the 2023/2024 season and earlier with Feyenoord in the Netherlands. Racing Santander holds the option to purchase Gonzalez at the end of the loan period. Juventus, who acquired Gonzalez in the summer of 2023, announced the temporary transfer on their official website, stating that the 22-year-old will join the Cantabrian team until June 30, with Racing having the option to make the move permanent. Gonzalez, who is 1.93 meters tall, is a central defender and a World Cup U20 winner with Uruguay. His contract with Juventus remains valid until June 30, 2026, and his market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €3.00 million. Prior to the move to Racing Santander, Gonzalez had also been linked with other clubs, including Rayo Vallecano, Espanyol, and Parma.
