Prati has returned to Cagliari following a six-month loan at Torino and does not seem to be part of the club's plans, despite having a contract until 2028. Racing aims to conclude the deal quickly.

Racing Santander has expressed interest in Matteo Prati, a 22-year-old Italian midfielder from Cagliari, and talks between the parties have begun. Prati is an Italy U21 international with 15 caps, is under contract until June 2028, and has also been linked with Torino. His current market value is estimated to be €5.50m, according to Transfermarkt.
