Eric García Transfer from FC Barcelona to Chelsea

Chelsea reportedly had recent contacts over a potential transfer for Barcelona defender Eric Garcia, but it now appears there is no chance of a deal. Garcia has agreed terms with Barcelona on a new contract after becoming an important player under Hansi Flick and will not be leaving. According to journalist Graeme Bailey, speaking to TBR Football, there was genuine interest from Chelsea at one point in the summer when Garcia’s contract was expiring. Bailey also reported that in recent weeks, Garcia's representatives have confirmed that a new deal is imminent.

Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing 24-year-old Barcelona defender Eric García, who previously played in the Premier League for Manchester City. Barcelona does not intend to let García leave and is working to secure a new contract for him, as his current one expires at the end of the season. Graeme Bailey told TBR that Chelsea's interest in the player continues and that they would want to sign him in January, but he added that the chances are García will have signed a new deal by then. The London club has reportedly been offered the chance to sign his teammate Ronald Araujo but would prefer the Spanish international instead. Aston Villa has also been linked with García, who was previously connected with Tottenham. According to Transfermarkt, the player has a current market value of €25 million.
