According to Spanish media, Barcelona have agreed a deal with LDU Quito to trial Ederson Castillo. According to Sport, the Catalans have reached an agreement with LDU Quito and Orozco over an initial trial that is set to take place in Spain in the coming days. Club president Isaac Alvarez confirmed to the local press that they tried to keep it discreet, but Ederson went to do an internship at Barcelona. Alvarez stated that it is a limited time he will be there, he will return after that, and they are keeping an eye on his performance. He also stated that they will see what the next steps are if Barca shows interest. A final decision on whether to sign him permanently will be made after the trial. If he signs a long-term deal, he would initially be expected to play for Barca Atletic.
