NEC defender and Curaçao international Deveron Fonville is being linked with AC Milan. VoetbalPrimeur previously reported that the 23-year-old has also generated interest from clubs in Germany, England, and Italy. Fonville's contract with NEC is valid until mid-2029. The centre-back responded to the rumors, stating that while he has seen some things, he honestly does not know anything about the interest from the Italian club. He added that the situation is developing rapidly and he is allowing events to proceed without his intervention, as his current focus is on the World Cup. Fonville joined NEC in September 2025, making 29 appearances and providing 2 assists in the Eredivisie during the 2025/2026 season. His current market value is €1.50m.
