According to Tuttomercato, AC Milan has identified its defense as the department most in need of intervention and is looking to add reinforcements during the upcoming winter transfer window. While Gonçalo Inácio is the primary target, the club could pursue 23-year-old Italian centre-back Daniele Ghilardi of Roma if a deal for their first-choice option is not achievable. Ghilardi joined Roma in July 2026, is under contract until June 2030, and his Transfermarkt valuation is €18.00m.
