Dario Essugo has been made available on loan, with the Blues wanting him to receive consistent game time in 2026-27. Essugo has not appeared in any of Chelsea’s first three matchday squads of the new campaign and the club need to finalise a loan deal quickly.

Essugo is listed as available for sale by Chelsea, and BBC Sport lists him among the players who can leave Stamford Bridge.

Portuguese midfielder Dario Essugo, 21, has also been linked with a loan move after the arrival of Valentin Barco from Strasbourg, but he could be forced to remain at the club due to the uncertain future of Enzo Fernandez. The Portugal U21 international joined Chelsea in June 2025 and his contract runs until 2033. His current market value is €15.00m, according to Transfermarkt.
