Stoke City are considering acquiring Sarpsborg 08 striker Daniel Karlsbakk. Pete O’Rourke reported that the 23-year-old Norwegian is a summer target for the Potters. Karlsbakk, who previously played for Heerenveen in the Eredivisie, was the top scorer in the Eliteserien during the 2025 campaign with 18 goals. The forward has 10 caps for Norway's U21 team and is under contract with the Norwegian club until 2029. It is anticipated that a significant fee would be required for Mark Robins’ side to complete a deal. Karlsbakk is 6ft5 tall and is considered to have the physicality suitable for the Championship. He has also been linked with clubs such as Trabzonspor, Sheffield United, and Middlesbrough. His current Transfermarkt market value is €4.50m.
