Daniel Iversen has joined Preston North End on a four-year deal after leaving Leicester City. The Danish goalkeeper had previously played for Preston on two loan spells and expressed his happiness and comfort at returning to the club where he feels at home and has played his best football.

Iversen, who is widely expected to have played his last game for Leicester City, has not featured in a first-team match since the 22/23 season. Given Leicester's ongoing difficulties in the Premier League and the uncertain prospects regarding their league status next season, it appears inevitable that Iversen will be leaving, which makes Preston's interest in acquiring him on a permanent basis even more relevant.
