Atletico Madrid are monitoring Daniel Banjaqui, an 18-year-old Portuguese right-back, and face competition from several other European clubs. The Premier League sides Tottenham and Brighton, as well as Juventus, Roma, Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig, and Real Sociedad, are also tracking the Benfica player. Although no formal negotiations have started between Benfica and the interested clubs, intermediaries have reportedly gathered information and established initial contact. Banjaqui's contract runs until 2031 and is said to include a €45 million release clause. Benfica is reportedly willing to consider a sale only if an offer of at least €35 million is made. The defender has 5 caps and 2 goals for Portugal U21, and his current market value is €10.00m, according to Transfermarkt.
