Danish international Conrad Harder received interest from several Premier League clubs, including Leeds United, Everton, and Brighton, before he completed a loan move to Strasbourg from RB Leipzig. The temporary move for the 21-year-old forward does not include a purchase option and was partly made possible by Chelsea and BlueCo, who sold Marc Guiu to Leipzig. BlueCo has admired Harder for a long time and had held talks about him on several occasions, which date back to the period before and during his time at Sporting. The loan gives BlueCo an opportunity to assess the player, whom they have followed for years, within their network. Sources have confirmed that Chelsea’s sporting hierarchy particularly admire him. According to Transfermarkt, the player has a current market value of €17.00m. His previous transfer from Sporting CP to RB Leipzig in September 2025 was for a reported base fee of €24 million.
