Chibuike Nwaiwu has attracted the attention of major clubs, including Bayer Leverkusen. According to Dik Futbol, several clubs have made offers of up to 20 million euros for Chibuike Nwaiwu. Trabzonspor will not sell at this price and demands a minimum of 40 million euros for the player to leave. The management of Trabzonspor is not willing to negotiate below this amount, as they are convinced of the player's high market value.

Bayer Leverkusen is monitoring Trabzonspor's 22-year-old Nigerian central defender, Chibuike Nwaiwu, who has one cap for his country. Fulham is also closely following the player. Nwaiwu is under contract until June 2030 and has an estimated value of 7 million euros. He joined Trabzonspor from Wolfsberger AC in January 2026 for a confirmed fee of €5.5 million. His former club had reportedly been asking for €10 million. Leverkusen is also reportedly observing his teammate, Wagner Pina.
