Charlie Cresswell Transfer from Toulouse to Liverpool
Liverpool are keeping tabs on Toulouse's English defender, Charlie Cresswell, who could be available for £15 million. According to a report from TBR football, Liverpool have been scouting the 23-year-old and could look to make a move in the future. Multiple Premier League clubs, including Newcastle United, are also keen on him.
According to L'Équipe, Liverpool was interested in Charlie Cresswell. A deal for the player was not completed because Toulouse turned down offers below their €17M valuation.
Liverpool might be considering a surprising move for Charlie Cresswell, who was extensively scouted by the club last season. Currently, there is no active pursuit from Liverpool for the player. Should Liverpool decide to sign the 22-year-old defender, who is presently with Toulouse, Leeds United could financially benefit due to a 15% sell-on clause included in his transfer to the Ligue 1 team in July 2024. Toulouse has placed an £18m price tag on Cresswell, which could result in Leeds receiving approximately £2.7m from the deal. This potential transfer comes in the wake of Cresswell's outstanding performances during England's European Under-21 Championship victory and his impressive displays in France.
