Calvin Verdonk is moving from NEC to Lille in a transfer deal valued at 3 million euros. He is poised to agree on a three-year contract with the club located in northern France. Verdonk is anticipated to participate in one final match for NEC against Fortuna Sittard before heading to Lille for his medical examination and to finalize the transfer. The 28-year-old defender, who has represented Indonesia internationally, joined NEC three years ago on a free transfer from Famalicao. His previous clubs include Feyenoord, PEC Zwolle, and FC Twente, and during his tenure at NEC, he made 164 appearances and netted 8 goals. This transfer represents the second major departure for NEC this summer, following the sale of goalkeeper Roefs to Sunderland for over 10 million euros, which set a new club record.
