A report from Football Insider states that Brian De Keersmaecker wants to leave Oxford following their relegation to the third tier.

According to journalist Pete O'Rourke, Blackburn Rovers are one of several clubs in England and abroad interested in Brian De Keersmaecker. It is reported that Oxford United need to sell due to an embargo placed upon them by the EFL in recent weeks.

According to reports, Blackburn Rovers have approached Oxford United concerning a potential summer transfer for midfielder Brian De Keersmaecker. This follows an attempt by Rovers to sign De Keersmaecker last summer, which occurred before the Belgian player transferred to Oxford from Heracles Almelo.

Blackburn Rovers and Queens Park Rangers are among several English clubs interested in signing 26-year-old Belgian midfielder Brian De Keersmaecker from Oxford United this summer. A number of teams from the German Bundesliga and Italian Serie A are also reportedly interested in signing him. De Keersmaecker joined Oxford United in July 2025 and made 26 appearances in the Championship last season, scoring two goals and providing five assists. He has been capped by Belgium at the U16 level. His current valuation on Transfermarkt is €2.50m.
