Bo Hegland has said that he considers it a great compliment to know Barcelona are interested in signing him. SPORT claims Barcelona have conducted scouting missions on Hegland this year. In comments to Norwegian outlet TV2, relayed by SPORT, Hegland said that it is a great compliment that people follow him. He added that it is a sign that a person is doing things well and he sees it as only a great compliment.

FC Barcelona had scouts present at 3 Arena to watch 22-year-old attacking midfielder Bo Hegland during the Monday match against Gais, where he scored a goal and provided an assist. The Norwegian player has also been previously linked with Newcastle, and it has been reported that he turned down an offer from Anderlecht. In the current Allsvenskan season, Hegland has 8 goals and 15 assists in 21 appearances. The Norway U21 international, who has 2 caps and 1 goal, joined Djurgårdens IF in July 2025 for a transfer fee reported to be €850,000 and is under contract until the end of 2029. His current Transfermarkt market value is €2.50m. Reports in September 2026 suggested this valuation was likely insufficient amid a formal offer from Anderlecht.
