Benfica have reportedly made an offer of approximately €22 million for Trabzonspor's 23-year-old Ukrainian centre-back, Arseniy Batagov. The player is also being tracked by other clubs, with Nottingham Forest and Napoli said to be tracking him, although Napoli's interest is considered more distant. Lazio have renewed their interest in the player, whom they were previously linked with in the summer before their transfer market was blocked. Batagov, who joined the Turkish club in August 2024, has a contract until June 2028 and has made 16 appearances in the Süper Lig this season, providing two assists. He has been capped 39 times for the Ukraine U21 team, scoring three goals. In the summer of 2025, offers of €10 million from Lazio and €12 million from Nottingham Forest were reportedly rejected. His current Transfermarkt market value is €9.00m.
