Armel Bella-Kotchap is contemplating a move back to the Bundesliga from FC Southampton. Hamburger SV has joined the competition to acquire him, having expressed interest last winter, although the transfer did not come through at that time. The 23-year-old, who has been capped twice by Germany, is keen to secure more playing time to draw the attention of national team coach Julian Nagelsmann before the World Cup next year. With his contract at Southampton set to expire next year, the club is looking to secure a transfer fee now. Bella-Kotchap had previously transferred from VfL Bochum to Southampton for twelve million euros three years ago, but following initial success, injuries and limited playing time have led him to explore opportunities elsewhere. In addition to Hamburger SV, Werder Bremen and Borussia Mönchengladbach have also expressed interest in the defender, and he has potential suitors in Italy as well.
