A report by Sky states that several 2. Bundesliga clubs, including Hannover 96 and Holstein Kiel, are interested in 19-year-old German defensive midfielder Niklas Swider. The player is currently on loan at third-division club Viktoria Köln from Borussia Mönchengladbach, where his contract is valid until 2028. A winter transfer is considered conceivable because Swider wants to play at a higher level and is not part of the plans at Mönchengladbach, for whom he has yet to make his professional debut. He has 4 caps for Germany U19. His current Transfermarkt market value is €700k.
