Sunderland are looking to sign 23-year-old Brazilian winger André Luiz to improve their attack. A report from Bruno Andrade claims the Premier League club aims to sign the attacker in January when the transfer window reopens. For his club, Rio Ave, in the Portuguese league, Luiz has registered four goals and three assists in eight league appearances. The club previously paid around €2.2 million for the player and will seek to make a profit on any potential sale. The winger, who joined the Portuguese club in January 2025, is under contract until June 2029 and has a market value of €2.50m, according to Transfermarkt. Sunderland hope to negotiate a reasonable fee and have the resources to convince the Portuguese club to sell.
