Swansea City have reportedly made progress in their bid to sign Valencia's Andre Almeida. There have been claims that the midfielder has shown a reluctance to move to the Championship. However, according to Spanish journalist German Munoz, Andre Almeida is considering a possible loan spell with Swansea City this season. It is claimed the player believes he could potentially increase his value and attract interest from bigger clubs should he succeed with Swansea. Spanish journalist Nacho Sanchis has claimed that things are progressing in terms of a move and reported that Almeida did not train with his team-mates. Valencia are seemingly keen for him to accept the offer from Swansea City, as the club is believed to be keen on transferring the player for a fee to help them in terms of PSR.

Swansea City have agreed a deal with Valencia for André Almeida worth an initial €3.5m, which could rise to approximately €5-6m. The Valencia midfielder is now willing to move to Wales but would rather join on loan than complete a permanent transfer. A loan would not provide the transfer income Valencia has been anticipating, which has shifted the focus of negotiations.
