Alan Varela is on Roma's list of options to succeed Manu Koné. The deal for the FC Porto defensive midfielder is described as one of the most complicated to complete, and it is said the Italian club values a transfer at around 40 million euros. Varela's contract runs until June 2030 with a 75 million euro release clause, and Manchester City and Manchester United have also been linked with the player.
