In January 2026, Galatasaray was reportedly preparing a €28+4 million offer, which Porto rejected, and his Transfermarkt value was cited as €32 million. In late 2024, his release clause was reported as £58.3 million (approx. €68.5 million) and €70 million in connection with Premier League interest. His August 2023 transfer from Boca Juniors to Porto was for a reported €8-12.5 million.

Our valuation is driven by significant interest from Premier League clubs reportedly viewing Alan Varela's release clause (around €70-75M) as accessible. This is balanced against a lower valuation from Roma (around €40M) and a rejected bid from Galatasaray (€32M). Given his long contract until 2030 and Porto's strong negotiating position, we estimate a negotiated fee would land well above the lower figures but below the full release clause.
