Adam Armstrong Transfer from Southampton to Wrexham
Wrexham are interested in Southampton's 28-year-old English striker Adam Armstrong, as they look to strengthen their attack in the January window for a potential effort to gain promotion to the Premier League. According to journalist Alan Nixon, Armstrong is a target for the Welsh side. It is also reported that they are considering the striker as an alternative if their pursuit of Angers' Sidiki Cherif proves unsuccessful. It is said that the Red Dragons have the financial capacity for a deal, with Armstrong valued at around £15 million. Nixon's report also added that the player's wages at Southampton would not be an issue for Wrexham. Armstrong's contract on the south coast is due to expire in the summer of 2027, but it is not clear whether Southampton would be open to a sale. The striker joined Southampton in August 2021 for a reported €17.7 million and has scored 11 goals and provided 4 assists in 28 Championship appearances this season. Wolverhampton Wanderers have also been linked with the former England U21 international.
