Zan Celar Transfer from Queens Park Rangers to Fortuna Düsseldorf
Zan Celar has joined Fortuna Düsseldorf on loan with an option to buy from Queens Park Rangers. The purchase option is valued at 2.5 million Euros. If Fortuna Düsseldorf achieves promotion this season after five years in the second division, a permanent signing of the forward is very likely. Klaus Allofs, the chairman of Fortuna, expressed his satisfaction with securing Celar, stating that the club is well-positioned for the future in the forward line.
Žan Celar is on the verge of moving to Fortuna Düsseldorf on loan. He is currently undergoing medical tests, and his transfer to the second-tier German club is imminent. The move is despite interest from Polish clubs, as the direction to Poland was not attractive to him according to Tomasz Włodarczyk from Meczyki.pl.
Fortuna Düsseldorf is interested in signing 26-year-old Žan Celar. The player is valued at four million euros and has struggled to secure a place in the starting lineup at Queens Park Rangers. Despite an initial investment of two million euros by QPR, Celar has not met expectations, prompting the club to consider a loan deal with an option to buy. Alongside Fortuna Düsseldorf, Slovan Bratislava has also expressed interest in the Slovenian striker, who was previously successful in the Swiss Super League with FC Lugano, scoring 40 goals.
