Zakaria El Ouahdi Transfer from Genk to Crystal Palace

According to Africafoot, Crystal Palace is monitoring Zakaria El Ouahdi. A source from the publication close to the player stated that Crystal Palace has engaged in advanced discussions for the Genk right-back. The same source specified that Palace currently appears to be the club showing the most interest, particularly due to the need to strengthen the position following Daniel Muñoz's knee surgery in December and Nathaniel Clyne's muscle injury. An Africafoot source reported that Zakaria El Ouahdi has expressed his desire to play in the Premier League, while prioritizing a stable and ambitious sports project. According to Africafoot's information, the Belgian club is willing to negotiate but demands an amount between 10 and 12 million euros, including bonuses, and is refusing any reduction in its financial demands.

According to British journalist Ed Aarons, Crystal Palace are in talks with Genk over Zakaria El Ouahdi, with the talks reportedly progressing well. In England, it is believed a transfer for El Ouahdi would involve a fee of just under 15 million euros. Ed Aarons also stated that Zakaria El Ouahdi is likely to cost around £12m.

Crystal Palace is reportedly interested in signing El Ouahdi this winter, where he would become the successor to Daniel Muñoz, just as he was at Genk. A transfer could happen this month if a club offers a sufficient transfer fee. El Ouahdi has a contract until 2028, and Transfermarkt estimates his value at 15 million euros.
