Club Brugge is one of many clubs that have been watching Häcken midfielder Abdoulaye Doumbia, an Ivorian who joined the Swedish club in January 2026. Other teams interested in the player include Sunderland, Bayer Leverkusen, Everton, Strasbourg, Nice, Lens, and Celtic. It was recently reported that Trabzonspor was preparing a bid for the 19-year-old, but the Turkish club is an unlikely destination. During the 2025/2026 season, Doumbia has contributed 2 goals and 3 assists in 24 league appearances, and his current market value on Transfermarkt is €5.00m. In October 2026, reports claimed Trabzonspor was prepared to make an initial offer of €5 million, but the sporting director for BK Häcken suggested the club's asking price is higher.
