Yunus Akgün Transfer from Galatasaray to Benfica

A special report by Correio da Manha suggests that Benfica is planning to offer 11 million Euros for Yunus Akgün in the near future. This sum would trigger the 'release clause' in the 24-year-old's contract, meaning Galatasaray would be unable to prevent the transfer if the clause is activated. In response, Galatasaray intends to substantially increase Akgün's salary, extend his contract, and eliminate the release clause. It is reported that Yunus Akgün has discussed the club and city with his national teammates Orkun Kökçü and Kerem Aktürkoğlu, and is interested in moving to Portugal. Benfica reportedly views Yunus Akgün as the potential successor to their prominent player Angel Di Maria, who is anticipated to depart at the end of the season.

Yunus Akgün is experiencing one of the most successful periods of his career, which has attracted the interest of European clubs. Benfica, having been impressed by the performances of current players Kerem Aktürkoğlu and Orkun Kökçü, is keeping a close watch on Yunus and is planning to make an offer at the end of the season. Reports suggest that Benfica does not plan to extend the contract of one of their key players, Angel Di Maria, and has prioritized Yunus Akgün as a potential replacement. Kerem and Orkun could play a role in persuading Yunus to join Benfica. Despite the ongoing contract negotiations with Galatasaray, Yunus has yet to sign a new agreement, which is causing concern among fans.

Benfica, having previously signed Kerem Aktürkoğlu from Galatasaray for 12 million Euro, is now interested in Yunus Akgün. The Portuguese club is reportedly preparing an offer in the range of 15-20 million Euro for Yunus.
