Aston Villa is reportedly one of six English clubs monitoring SC Freiburg's Croatian-German striker Igor Matanović. Freiburg are not obligated to sell Matanović, whose contract is valid until 2029, and the Bundesliga club is said to value him at approximately £50 million. The potential competition to sign the player is described as being in a scouting phase, with no bids submitted so far.
